They were so unique and everyone was an individual, and I had come from this Texas town where that didn't exist. If you transferred all of the hipsters from Brooklyn into Texas, they would probably get beaten up. Whether he's from Texas or Brooklyn, as long as he's smart and funny, then it works. CG: On a typical day, where would we expect to find Liz Lee hanging out? This season we'll watch as Liz tries to stay on top of her studies, while juggling old friends, new friends and relationship drama.
It's more realistic than painting a picture-perfect, cookie-cutter high school experience.
It's good to show kids that other people go through these struggles and maybe something good can come out of it, even if it's not what you had planned on.
Season Two is set in New York with Liz adjusting to old and new friends.
The show's main character, Elizabeth "Liz" Lee, is a girl from Burleson, Texas. She feels that in her town people are either stuck up or narrow minded.
They're all cool, creative art students, and I have a hard time talking to people that I don't know. So it was really hard to find those friends, but it's very important to have them now because it's nice to have people here who are going through the same stuff with school as I am.
CG: Did you find girls here to be as intimidating as the girls back home?

It was definitely tough at first, but they're good friends, and they just want me to be happy.
CG: Do you ever look back at the first season and wish that you could change anything?
